About
Manfred Mohr states that he made his first computer drawings in 1969, writing his own programs in Fortran IV. From 1973 he developed algorithmic systems based on the cube and multidimensional hypercube, selecting and projecting subsets rather than showing the complete structure. [1]
Why they matter here. For Algorithmics, Mohr establishes a useful discipline: define the system precisely, allow it to generate variation, then judge the resulting drawing as an independent visual work.
